Hear Him

Hear Him

I don’t always hear the voice of Jesus within
which makes it easier for Satan & sin
I put Jesus aside
to take things in my own stride
my ears become blocked
my eyes don’t see
& fear envelops me
I stumble once again
& once again I pathetically plea
“how many times am I going to deny?
You dear Jesus I sadly cry!”
forgive me forgive me I need You Lord
I need You & I need Your love
it’s such a beautiful gift from God above
I love You also my Father in Heaven
You are so tolerant of me
help me to listen to Your Son
He’s truly my Saviour my heart He’s
definitely won
help me to be righteous only in Your sight
& to love You & Jesus with all my might
I’ll make a real effort to obey
& I hope to be in Heaven one day
But while I’m here on earth
help me to be of some worth
& I pray also that others will see
dear Jesus in me oh Lord
so that they too can benefit from Your
ever loving reward.

*thoughts in 2012 about “Hear Him”
I wrote the poem “Hear Him” shortly after my full submersion water Baptism 1992 newly
I leaned into Holy Spirit one night sitting up in bed late I can remember
me -single parent -children all in bed
buzzing in my ears, pressing through the yawning hours -to hear
Him – I only wanted to write what He wanted me to write
determined to be grateful determined to be faithful determined to believe
I pressed on- through the buzzing ears from the yawning
years of indifference ignorance
years of turning away dismissal non committal
but …
He came
& I could hear Him banishing
Satan’s din diminishing vanishing
I could hear
God’s still small Voice
breathing whispering
into me
my ears
healing in my ears –
as I gave to Him as I wrote to Him-
my heart my soul my spirit my strength my mind …
the poem I wrote checked a-ok with Him
Holy Spirit
that night a-ok according to Him!
a-ok according to me!
we had it going on!
& still do … a-ok! thumbs up reading back twenty years on -I was just starting out with Holy Spirit
reading back seeing back – but He was the One Who stirred me to write the poem
in the first place
helped me write the poem in the first place
all credits to Him!
only Him
He’s such a marvelous mystery isn’t He?
Holy Spirit!
the Person of Holy Spirit!
get that why don’t you!
why don’t I!
the poem is His! into eternity &
a forever poem!
God IS awesome!
I’m so gonna stick with Him!

My Spirit upon all flesh

Cormorants! wave after wave after wave brushing by & by & again
blessed assurance condolences
washing fanning stirring my woken heart
I’m still in bed
head turned to the window
dreaming out staring out contemplating out &
brashly softly instantly caressing my eyelashes my eyes
the wind from their wings
the flood of their persona
the updraft from their
culminated combined dusty-black spiky whole as a whole
flapping fast filling my sky
to create a volume
a sound
a force
a feeling
to wash my eyes my heart
to strike my heart
for that instance & then
another wave overhead
& another
poured out over this house
getting closer
He draws nearer
nearer to me nearer to Tony
nearer to His OWN
awesome mystery -THE
Whoa! we can’t lose
He comes soon …
He draws near He
pours out His Spirit before-
He comes-
to save!
phew! that’s a close shave!

Matthew 24:33
So also when you see these signs, all taken together, coming to pass, you may know of a surety that He is near, at the very doors.

Joel 2:28

Gods Promise of His Spirit

After this

I will pour out My Spirit on all humanity;

then your sons and your daughters will prophesy,

your old men will have dreams,

and your young men will see visions.

Check out this pic one of my fb friends posted two days after I wrote this … ummmmm! – Hello God I say! Bless you Jesus! I love You so!

Make my day!

quasi-informal out of the blue
something like the sinner off the street &
the fresh & lovely convert … a new Creation, something like-
ragamuffins of the sky fly by this morning, colourful characters robust squawking
standup comedians noisy & nice
in your face!
screeching across the clouds appearing without grace they
“make my day!”
& to all those weak willied men who only want to shoot them down
I say raspberry & find a better way!
oh oh am I being condemnatory?
old man?
forgive me
& lewd? You forbid me Lord
so forgive me Lord
& I pray
Lord open men’s eyes to see Your Light that shines so bright
in Jesus name
& then the land could be healed restored
from the evil one who only comes to kill & destroy
the beauty of God on earth & the beauty that screeches across the sky
base & bold
wonder & charm does not harm
men are deceived & bring it on themselves
men create the temperament
they build their castles their little kingdoms
but there IS only ONE KINGDOM
to build
& as long as men breathe
on earth
there will always only be ONE!

I know how I can please God now! Holy Spirit told me – have faith! it’s that simple. He’s remembering me to the Daughter child I was & still am who knows how her Heavenly Father loves her.

Eternal Treasures

quick to catch on?
three little darts of emerald & lime, & was that a dash of orange?
probably not!
might be Elegant or Rock or Blue winged, definitely Parrots-
Neophema not just a thought … transitory moment
so beautifully surreal – so quick & fleeting darting shooting piercing
crack pot shots
all at the same time-
zoom zoom zoom
did it really happen?
over my head!
& into the Heavens
flew the fastest little arrows released- whoosh whoosh whoosh probably-
tsit tsit tsit probably-
& away away away to
somewhere somewhere somewhere
& they fly
oblivious to me, so high
they aim
for purity
the Heavens are good …
they know
& I’m thinking like ephemeral? Neophema ?
something the same here?
something hidden here?
what’s the little secrets here?
to my heart what’s the little treasures
to be revealed
learning all the time …
love mysteries-
will search!
from where does my help come from?
my help comes from the Lord
He has set the Heavens in motion- the birds above me for my delight
God’s more than a bit of all right!
He gifts me
yet also
eternal …
gotta love Him!

Proverbs 2:4-5
4 If you seek [Wisdom] as for silver and search for skillful and godly Wisdom as for hidden treasures,
5 Then you will understand the reverent and worshipful fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of [our omniscient] God.

Lover of your soul

reach to the Lover of your soul-
dear children
dear children
how I long for you to receive Jesus
into your hearts
but I will consider the lilies
as Jesus says
& I will know
that He answers my prayers
& I will know
that He keeps His promises
have you ever considered the lilies?
you really really must
soon … because
their beauty their shape warms feeds the eyes
settles the heart
soothes the soul so to speak …
curves immaculate
sleek rounded lips Devine
little trumpets to shout in the day
glory glory be to God in Heaven He is the King of me!
they are smooth silky cups of milk, delicate curl delicate swirl
to top it off show it off reaching into thin air
& where the stem meets the base-
petticoat embrace, such grace skirts emerald columns-
statements from soil!
such grace & affection covering no fretful concerns
protecting ordering entwining
my heart &
the stamens oh!
golden outstanding striking deliberate obvious to the point- purpose, perfect & good
so God …
I can taste the lightness of the pollen that almost isn’t- with the tip of my tongue only soft prayers of powder beyond dainty so strong- where does it come from?
have faith!
little one
the Unseen is more than the seen
God goes before you so
reach to Jesus
reach to the Star of David-
He is the Way the Truth & the Life
to knowing …
the secrets
so lovely lovely
He is the King of me …
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning
-John 1:1-2 (HCSB)
who is Jesus?
lover of my soul!
& my love has gone down to his garden, to beds of spice, to feed in the gardens and gather lilies. I am my love’s and my love is mine; he feeds among the lilies.
-Song of Solomon 6:2-3 (HCSB)

sacred kingfisher

I wrote this poem about the Sacred Kingfisher (Halcyon sancta) 8 or 9 years ago or so when I first started really observing the birds around me. As you can see by some of my photos I have had a bit to do with Kingfisher & family since then.

a Sacred moment …

a Sacred moment …

Behind the glass- I peer

I have to hold my

I wipe the lens,

and focus-

a Kingfisher is here.

Plump upon the

buff & bluish green,

she searches south- then north,

west- then east;

I wonder what feast

will die by her design.

In an eyelash flutter,

darting to the shore …

She’s gone!

Will she back this
