I can just sit behind the door.

imageIt doesn’t take any effort to hold up the shield of faith.
In fact you can cower behind the shield if you must & sometimes I must.
When problems & words spoken over me, seem too hard to bear, “Don’t bear them,” God says, “Give them to Me.”
“I’ve experienced it,” Tony said, “That effortless faith, you know, while you are praying, faith just rises up inside of you. You can feel it,” he said as he tapped his tummy, & you know it’s abnormal.”
Tony’s so funny.
Did you know that the word for shield in Ephesians is a different word than the word for shield in the Old Testament.

Ephesians 6:16
In every situation take the shield of faith,
and with it you will be able to extinguish
all the flaming arrows of the evil one.

g2375. θυρεός thyreos; from 2374 ; a large shield (as door-shaped): — shield. AV (1) – shield 1; I.a shield, a large oblong, four cornered shield
The shield here is a magic shield from God, full of supernatural power.

The root word is g2374. θύρα thyra; apparently a primary word (compare “door”); a portal or entrance (the opening or the closure, literally or figuratively): — door, gate. AV (39) – door 38, gate 1; I.a door A.the vestibule B.used of any opening like a door, an entrance, way or passage into C.in a parable or metaphor 1.the door through which sheep go in and out, the name of him who brings salvation to those who follow his guidance 2.”an open door” is used of the opportunity of doing something 3.the door of the kingdom of heaven (likened to a palace) denotes the conditions which must be complied with in order to be received into the kingdom of God.

So the shield of faith is magic after all!
The shield of faith is a door or a gate.
The shield of faith is a portal or entrance.
The shield of faith is Jesus who is the gate that protects His sheep.
He actually is the gate.
He actually is the door.
My faith shield is a four cornered door shaped shield, shaped by Jesus Himself.
My faith shield is a door.
Whenever any fiery darts come at me I will do whatever, but I will remember to do whatever, behind my faith shield.
The fiery darts will just be put out, sizzle out, as soon as they come near my faith shield, my magic faith shield.
My faith shield is Jesus, & He way replaces the old score man hewn shields of past days that were so physically demanding, laborious & the rest of it yuk!
Check out the shields before Christ:

Jesus says His burden is light so why would He give you a heavy shield to hold up?
No way He wouldn’t & doesnt, & look at that, His burden is light & He asks us to put on His yoke because it is easy.
In that light of His, when I’m standing or whatever I’m doing, but when I’m being behind His shield, which is light, how can any enemy penetrate?
Can’t!
Magic!
Sparks fly, the enemy sizzles!

It’s all good with Jesus!
Thank God!

I can just sit behind the door.
Ha ha.
